Meet the Editor

Danrochelle D. Yumul is the founder and editor of Meet The (818).  A San Fernando Valley local, she started as a freelance writer in 2009, consistently writing for various online publications:  Studio City Patch, My Daily Find, Examiner.com, and the Yahoo! Contributors’ Network. She currently writes for the Valley News Group, covering events in the San Fernando Valley.

Meet the (818) is her passion project, one that combines a love for exploring the neighborhood, and an interest in sharing others’ stories.   With this online venture, she hopes to encourage readers to get to know the 818, support locals and local businesses, and have an adventure or two in the community.
