The Valley Relics Museum

In 2013, San Fernando Valley local Tommy Gelinas founded The Valley Relics Museum, with the intention of preserving and sharing the valley’s rich history. The museum, originally located in Chatsworth, houses over 20,000 items dating back to the 1800s. Some of their prominent collections include signage from old businesses in and around the valley as well as pinball machines and arcade games from the now closed Family Fun Arcade in Granada Hills. It also includes a collection of valley-made BMX bikes from the 1960s and 1970s.

Now located near the Van Nuys airport near the corner of Balboa and Stagg, the Valley Relics museum only showcases about 45% of their collection at any given time. They have also added a gift shop with San Fernando Valley themed shirts, bags, mugs, and other items. Admission to the museum is $10 per adult. Seniors are $8 and children under ten get in for free.
