#1 Valley Relics Museum, Lake Balboa

818 native, Tommy Gelinas, wanted to preserve the history of the San Fernando Valley in his own unique way, rescuing bits and pieces of his home.  There are over 20,000 items in his collection spanning from the 1800s to present.  Some notable items are the original signage for the Palmino Club, the Tiffany Theatre, and a collection of 150 BMX bikes circa 1970 – 1980, manufactured in the San Fernando Valley.  Opened to the public in 2013, it was originally located in Chatsworth but the ever-expanding collection needed more space to be showcased and shared to the museum’s visitors.  In 2018, the Valley Relics Museum moved to their current location at Lake Balboa.
