818 local, mother of three and Licensed Vocational Nurse, Khristine Talactac is a woman of many talents. Not only is she a LVN, she’s also a licensed Cosmetologist, licensed Body Art Practitioner, Blood Borne Pathogen Certified, Multi-Certified Lash Extension Specialist, Licensed Permanent Make-up Artist and Hyaluron Pen Certified Technician. Whew! That’s a long list of licenses and certifications. It only goes to show that all of this makes her the perfect founder and owner of Beauty FX Ink, your one stop shop for all of your beauty needs from microblading, to lashes and even body sculpting.

Khristine worked as a nurse for 16 years before realizing her true passion: helping women feel good, look their best, and gain confidence. That’s when she started Beauty FX Ink, located on Reseda Blvd in Northridge. And, she’s been in business for the past four years and counting.

“What inspired me to start my beauty business was that I wanted to use my background and skillset in nursing to help provide quality brows and lashes with safety and sanitation in mind. In a small town that’s become pretty saturated, I felt that my credentials and skills can speak for themselves and to set me apart from others.,” Khristine shares how she started Beauty FX Ink.

“Putting forth my expertise and passion, I wanted to stand out from the crowd by offering the best experience for my clients. Speaking from personal experience, I had a botched brow job done (on me) and was treated like just like another dollar amount. I didn’t want that for my clients. I wanted my clients to know that I am there for them through each step of their brow or lash transformation. I pride myself in giving nothing but the highest quality brows and lashes in my area.”

Kristine’s customer service centered approach shows through her artwork of brows and lashes. Over the four years she’s been in business, she’s had many repeat customers who spread her services through word of mouth. Because those referrals attracted more clients, she added additional team members who share her some work ethics and approach to beauty.

In addition to providing beauty services, she also teaches in-person and online courses on lashes, and skin needling. She’s also been featured by CBS on This Is LA to inspire other entrepreneurs.
